Haverfordwest was established 1000 years ago and was the second largest port in Wales during Elizabethan times, It remained a main port in Wales until the birth of the railway in 1953.  Haverfordwest is the county town of Pembrokeshire and Western Cleddau runs through the town,  in lies in the edge of the Pembrokeshire coast National Park the only Costal Park in the UK.
